I was excited to see The Sunpilots again. And they were playing at Junction Bar - the tip for this club was by me. It should start at 9 pm and when I arrived there 20 min later they were still outside or talking with guests. There were maybe 20-30 people - not that much I expected. I hoped there would come more later on. I also saw that they had another drummer.
They had a special guest this night called Ray Man - also from Australia but now living in Berlin like The SunPilots. He started to play an accoustic set - him, his guitar and a wonderful romantic voice. The way he was playing guitar reminds me a little bit of Stanley Jordan.
He was doin 4-5 songs and than The SunPilots started to play. Raj - the singer of The SunPilots - explained that he will introduce every song they played. While I bought the record the last time I knew already the songs and I liked them again.
I find it very difficult to explain my emotions. On one hand they made this wonderful music and than you have the audience sitting on their seats - brave clapping after each song. But it's difficult to make people dance if you don't feel this way and when the music is special.
I think they played the last song at 11:30 pm without any extra song (no one asked for it!!!). Anyway, I thought they had fun. Talked a little bit with Raj, Bob (guitar/singer) and Justin (bass/singer), bought the other record of them and than left the Junction Bar because I got a little headtache. At home I listened to the record and after this my bed was waiting for me.
