Michael Franti & Spearhead are hitting the late night TV talk show this week, with last night’s (March 3) destination being Jimmy Kimmel’s show. The band performed two songs—I’ll Be Waiting” and “Hey Hey Hey”—both taken from the recent-ish album The Sound of Sunshine. The latter barely gets an airing as the credits roll, but it features a rare piece of late night TV interaction between performer and audience, while the former is a perfect example of Franti’s ultra lite take on rock and soul sounds, with a guitar sound that’s distinctly U2 like.
