Lenny Zenith’s brand-new full length album He/Hymn is out now. There are nine powerful tracks in the reflective storytelling journey on which the listener will traverse. The lyrics focus on everything from love to the difficult struggles of life.
The album is an emotional gut punch. Each track is very poetic; the words tell their own individual story, which makes every song feel distinctive. The sonic elements on the album have a vibrant and cinematic feel which make the songs come to life in a powerful way.
The diversity in the project is amazing too. From soft rock to country tinged songs as well as some with an Americana feel, any fans of those genres will find something to love within He/Hymn.
It is clear Lenny poured his heart into all of these songs. From the nostalgic vibes of “Beards of Grey” to the longing for authenticity to be revealed in the song “Mask,” real life beauty is oozing out of the tracks. Lenny has created music that is meant to evoke powerful emotions here, and what an excellent job he has created.
Abandoning the sound of his previous Power Pop music, Lenny has shown a completely new side and one that works well. He drew influence from Tom Petty and Elvis Costello to create his own unique sound for the cozy warm weather season we are dreaming of. Here, a more introspective side has been brought to light.
This is one collection of songs to definitely check out. You can get a special vinyl with the transgender pride colors printed on it in the link below. It is also available for your listening enjoyment on several popular music streaming services.
