The video for The Last Picture, the new single by Ephemeral, is finally out and available on radio and digitally via SDO/Believe. The band, formed in 2021, continues to captivate listeners with their modern prog style, blending tradition with contemporary influences.
The Last Picture marks a significant phase in the band’s emotional journey: the second stage of detachment from a negative person, symbolizing acceptance. As Ephemeral explains, the song is their response to a rigid and mechanical view of art: “For us, art is unpredictability and spontaneity. The Last Picture emerged from a simple musical idea, transforming a powerful feeling into music.”
The video, directed by Davide Trumino and filmed in a small theater in Casal Palocco (Rome), pays tribute to three forms of art: music, dance, and theater. It tells the story of a young boy who discovers his passion for dance, a journey that leads him to become a true dancer.
The Ephemeral are a rising force in the Italian rock scene. Composed of Arianna De Lucrezia (bass and vocals), Emanuel D’Orazio (guitar), Gabriele Catania (keyboards), and Marco Arese (drums), the band members are all Conservatory graduates or students. Arianna, for instance, has worked with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, who will appear in two tracks of their upcoming album.
Following the success of their debut album Guiding Ghost, released in 2022, and reaching the finals at Rock Targato Italia 2024 with The Last Picture, Ephemeral are preparing to release their second album in 2025.
