Da Beatminerz have released their first new album in 20 years, and it features AZ, Black Moon, De La Soul, Keith Murray, Mickey Factz, and more. Stifled Creativity drops today (6/21), just a day short of the anniversary of their sophomore album, Fully Loaded w/Statik. The album has been in the works for well over a decade, and contains unreleased songs with De La Soul, KRS-One, and Smif N Wessun.
"We started working on this album in 2009," Mr. Walt shared. "We had one focus and the focus was to stick to our core sound. We just wanted to bring back our traditional way of attempting a classic album. Everybody has their own type of hip hop that they love. Well, this is ours."
Da Beatminerz have also released the Anthony Edwards animated music video for the album's third single "Back In Style", featuring Ras Kass. The feel good mid tempo track contains an interpolation of "It's A Love Thing" by The Whispers, with Rass Kass reminding the listener that there's nothing new under the sun.
