We were just talking about how the cultishly-loved Weatherbox's most recent album Flies In All Directionsturns 10 this year (in 12 days, actually), and now, Weatherbox have just released their first proper new single since that album! It's called "Manson Dust," and this full-band version is entirely new but main member Brian Warren debuted a solo acoustic version during a session for Punks In Vegas back in 2016. The finished version is exactly the kind of hard-to-pin-down, off-kilter indie rock song that Weatherbox has long excelled at; it starts off in woozy, atmospheric territory, before hitting a loud, cathartic climax. Weatherbox went on hiatus from 2016 to 2019, after which they returned and debutednew material during a live session. Brian also put out an album in 2020 with his band Miss New Buddha.
