Rollin snapshot
The video was directed and edited by BFE bandleader Lati Kronlund, who had a vision of "'The Harder They Come' meets a Bergmanesque Swedish outback and a Parisian skateboard park". The video shot by BFE sax player Loic Gayot perfectly captures what rollin' on aSaturday afternoon looks like, as it glides through the skate park with a skateboarder doing tricks, over to the vibes created by the dynamic pairing of BFE's lead vocalists Alison Limerick and Desmond Foster, as theygroove in the heat by their red classic car. Then passes by the rest of the band in different locations both outdoors and in the studio, withbandleader Lati Kronlund (bass, guitars, keys and producer) Kristoffer Wallman (keys, vibraphone and synths), Ebba Asman (trombone, backing vocals), Hux Nettermalm (drums, percussion)and Loic Gayot (sax).
The video was shot across a day while BFE were on the road this Spring, touring the UK, France, Spain, Poland, Georgia, Germany, Monaco and Sweden. Their shows continue to delight and entertain large crowds worldwide and next year they will be back in the Americas.
'Rollin' (Love Will Be Here)' was playlisted on Jazz FM for four weeks when it was released earlier this year. The track has its roots in the earworms of Ohio Players, Mary Jane Girls and Roy Ayers, complete with Brass Construction-esque horns and a Chuck Brown-inspired go-go break thrown in for good measure.
