Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) - The song "Iraq Forever" has just been released by Iraqi hip-hop performer Yassin Al Salman, better known by his stage name NARCY. Sandhill produced the song, while We Are The Medium made the music video. NARCY visits famous sites in Baghdad in the music video, such as Tahrir Square, the Al-Mutanabbi Statue, and the Al-Shaheed Monument, commonly known as the Martyr's Memorial. NARCY also travels to the Babylonian remains in Hilla, Iraq.
According to GQ Middle East, NARCY has reportedly shared the stage with some of hip-hop's biggest stars, including Kanye West, KRS-One, Busta Rhymes, and Wu-Tang Clan, while performing worldwide.
NARCY, a Basra native, is recognized as one of the first Iraqi rappers to succeed in the hip-hop industry. NARCY, who now calls Montreal, Canada home, is one of several hip-hop artists from the diaspora who are expressing their personal stories of life after the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
