Tank and the Bangas released a new song, “DM Pretty.” The track comes on the heels of the group led by Tarriona “Tank” Ball’s Grammy-nominated 2022 album, Red Balloon, and ahead of their 2023 Spring Tour kicking off next week.
Tarriona “Tank” Ball delved into her poetry collection to craft “DM Pretty.” The song was captured via a Live OffBeat Session and initially posted on TikTok where it went viral prompting Tank And The Bangas to release “DM Pretty” officially. Ball detailed the new song:
“I wrote ‘DM Pretty’ so that women could know that they are beautiful, dope, sexy, smart and obviously pretty. I also love when people really listen to the poem in its entirety to see why he’s sliding into her DM’s.... It starts off with a compliment at about 2 A.M. in hopes that charm can get them what they really want but if she already knows that she won’t be so quick to flatter.... My hope is that real conversations can happen around this poem and people can truly feel seen through its intent.”
