Jalbatross, the nom-de-plume of The Motet guitarist Ryan Jalbert, released the single "Pity Party." The track is one of six instrumentals featured on the forthcoming debut Jalbatross EP.
Out on August 9, Jalbatross finds Jalbert joined by The Motet bandmates Joey Porter on keys, his brother Colin Jalbert on drums and old pal Tim Philpott on bass. Ryan wrote and produced all six songs on the self-titled EP.
Ryan Jalbert put his focus on Jalbatross when the pandemic started and he was forced off the road. "Pity Party" comes on the heels of the EP's lead single "Chomper." The quartet tracked the song live and recorded the ethereal "Pity Party" to tape.
