Dopapod shared a new single, "Fannie." The song is set to land on the prog-rock quartet's upcoming self-titled album, due out on May 27.
Dopapod previously shared the singles "Think" and "Grow." The band announced Dopapod in March and shared a third single, "Black Holes."
Dopapod now follows with "Fannie." "A daydream-like journey through time and space, the song opens with a hypnotizing, bluesy guitar arrangement overtop elusive ambient soundscapes", a press release for the new single noted. "The song's narrator finds himself musing on the various gifts and delicacies he wants to treat his titular love Fannie with."
"The lyrics have a cool ring to them," guitarist Rob Compa added. "They lend themselves to being interpreted in a lot of different ways by the listener. We leaned on the groove, and it all worked together."
As with previous singles, "Fannie" arrived with a music video created in conjunction with Tandem Media in Dopapod's "Building A Time Machine" series. Watch the video for "Fannie" below:
