Chaka Khan, 66, stuns in black bodice and lingerie-style outfit as she parties with Lenny Kravitz before a surprise performance

She released her female-empowerment anthem I'm Every Woman back in 1978, and legendary soul singer Chaka Khan showed on Tuesday night that she's showing no signs of slowing down - or even dressing down for that matter.
Khan, 66, was the surprise musical guest at the official launch of The West Hollywood Edition hotel in Los Angeles.
She was spotted hanging out on the red carpet with another music icon, Lenny Kravitz, before taking the stage for an unannounced performance.
The pair laughed and joked together in the lobby of the luxury hotel before she hit the stage, wrapping their arms around one another, before the Fly Away singer planted a kiss on Khan's cheek.

She wowed the crowd wearing a lingerie-inspired outfit, displaying her incredible figure, supported by a black bodice.
And one guest on the night who couldn't wait to get a photo and praise the soul singer, was her friend Lenny Kravitz, 55, who was later spotted rushing to catch a glimpse of her performance up close.

Meanwhile Leonardo DiCaprio, 45, was once again in attendance at the Sunset club below the hotel where Chaka performed to a packed club room full of guests, including RuPaul, Janelle Monae, Diplo and others.
Chaka put on an energetic performance throughout the evening, performing some of her biggest hits including Ain't Nobody and I'm Every Woman, bringing the star-studded crowd to their feet, including her pal Lenny.
The singer released her 12th studio album, Hello Happiness, earlier this year, her first in 12 years since 2007's Funk This.

Khan made headlines in June after stating Kanye West was 'stupid' for sampling her song Through the Fire, for his 2004 song Through the Wire.
She told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she was 'pissed' after learning what he had done with her song, despite her giving permission for him to use the sample.
She said the rapper and husband of Kim Kardashian reached out and said she was 'instrumental' in the healing process following a 2002 car accident, so she let him use the sample, but after hearing the final product, she said it was 'insulting.'

'Ariana did a great job' Khan said about Grande's performance at the memorial, before adding, 'And by the way, Ariana and I are doing a song together.'
The song is a duet entitled Nobody that is featured on the soundtrack to the Charlie's Angels reboot, which hits theaters November 15.
