Peter Gabriel will be celebrating his movie song legacy with the release of the limited edition "Rated PG" album on Record Store Day, April 13th.
Rated PG will be made available as a numbered, a limited edition picture disc in a die-cut sleeve, that will also include a hi-res download code. It will feature new and previously unreleased versions of songs along with a brand new track.
Peter had this to say, "I have always loved film and any chance I have been offered to work with good film projects and good directors I have jumped at.
This is a mixture of songs that have been written for specific films, and existing songs that found an appropriate place in a story. Consequently, there is a mix of different styles and moods."
Side 1 That'll Do from the film Babe 2: Pig in the City Down to Earth from the film Wall-E This Is Party Man. from the film Virtuosity. New version, previously unreleased The Book of Love from the film Shall We Dance? The film version, different to the 'Scratch My Back' version Taboo from the film Natural Born Killers, featuring Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Side 2 Everybird from the film Birds Like Us, previously unreleased Walk Through The Fire from the film Against All Odds Speak (Bol) from the film The Reluctant Fundamentalist. New version, previously unreleased Nocturnal from the film Les Morsures de l'Aube. Previously unreleased In Your Eyes from the film Say Anything. The film version, previously unreleased.
