Balkan Beat Box, comprised of Ori Kaplan, Tamir Muskat and Tomer Yosef, have released the music video for their latest single "Chin Chin," which premieres exclusively in the US on our site today. The trio is additionally gearing up to release their fifth studio album, Shout It Out, on November 11th.
The song itself offers up some grit-laced funk over an incessant beat for a delightfully vibrant party track. The "Chin Chin" music video also has some distinct hip-hop imagery, as the group counts bills and wears "bling bling" and fur coats in multiple shots. Along with hip-hop, the trio also adds in some elements from their culture along with a good dose of humor.
While the group has veered more towards controversial shout-outs in their music, they've gone more introspective lyrically on "Chin Chin."
"We are known to be that band to shout out things that bother us, but this time we went inward and more personal. This album is us revealing who we are as people and what's going on in our personal life," percussionist and producer Muskat has said.
