Derrick Davis - bassist/production Original “P” (Parliament Funkadelic) was born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey. the son of the late Raymond ”Stingray” Davis, original founding member of Parliament Funkadelic and 1997 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. Has been playing bass since the innocent and tender age of 10 years old.
