The RBS British LGBT Awards took place in London on Friday night as the annual bash honoured the likes of Sir Ian McKellen and Brian May.
A range of gay stars and 'straight allies' were recognised at the glitzy ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms, with the event hosted by Mel B and Duncan James.
Stage and screen veteran McKellen was handed the prestigious Global Icon Award to pay tribute to his longstanding activism on equality issues.

“To win an RBS British LGBT Awards is simply fantastic because the public decides the winners. This is a fantastic event and it is really great to be part of it.”
