Kendrick Lamar, George Clinton and Ice Cube crash an intergalactic bash in the outrageous new video for a remix of Funkadelic's "Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard on You?"
The clip, directed by Video God, opens with Lamar piloting the Mothership Connection through the Chocolate Milky Way and scooping up an unsuspecting Earthling played by Michael Colyar.
Soon after, Clinton is beamed onto the ship and croons Funkadelic's sticky, deep-grooved ode to funkin' way beyond one's years as Lamar guides the ship through the galaxy. The "Ain't That Funkin'" clip then jumps to an afro-futurist bacchanal where Ice Cube spits a breezy verse amid a fantastic collection of extravagantly dressed revelers.
"Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard on You?" first appeared on Funkadelic's 2014 album, First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate. Lamar appeared on a Louie Vega remix of the track in 2015, while Ice Cube's verse was added to Vega's "We Ain't Never Gonna Stop Remix," which arrived in February.
