Peter Gabriel just gave David Bowie the most amazing Facebook tribute

Former Genesis lead singer Peter Gabriel offered a short, simple tribute to the late David Bowie on his Facebook page on Monday, sharing his cover of Bowie’s classic single “Heroes.”
“Heroes, for me, was always one of the great Bowie tracks,” Gabriel wrote. “It is heroism in the face of oppression and desperation; it’s something triumphant despite the desperate situation.”
Gabriel’s version of the song, originally recorded in November 2014 eschews the original’s guitar-driven melody for an orchestral approach, and has become part of his live performances, including his appearance at a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall that same month.
