Hear It First: Nattali Rize and Notis Inspire Youth on ‘Generations Will Rize’

After fronting the Australian reggae-roots band Blue King Brown, Nattali Rize
teams with Jamaica’s production outfit and live band Notis to continue her message of freedom, justice and truth. Their forthcoming Nattali Rize and Notis EP, New Era Frequency, is due out in July.
Nattali is giving Yahoo Music the first listen to one of the tracks, “Generations Will Rize,” that empowers youth to speak out against government ills.
During the song’s bridge, Nattali sings, “In the midst of these crazy times/ We’re gonna find our place/ If we open up our hearts/ And let love lead the way.”
Nattali explains her motivation for the song. “We see the rise of generations taking back their power, reclaiming their freedoms and turning to each other for solutions,” she said in a statement to Yahoo Music. “Instead of waiting for governments to lead the way, the people are putting their energy into creating new paradigms of thought, therefore crafting a new future and new ways of being … A future for the people.”
Nattali and Notis are currently opening for Michael Franti and Spearhead’s tour. “Nattali is a bright light in the world with a vision that extends beyond the stage,” Franti said.
