Violet Grohl has announced her first headlining tour, and shared a prickly new song, “Cool Buzz.”
Grohl’s short 2026 tour arrives in support of her upcoming debut album, Be Sweet to Me, out on May 29th. The tour kicks off at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn on June 4th, followed by shows in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. She’ll close out the US run with a pair of shows opening for The Breeders in Baltimore and New York. After a brief festival run in the UK in August, Grohl will head back stateside for slots at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees and Brooklyn’s CBGB Fest in September. See her list of tour dates below.
Tickets for Grohl’s three East Coast headlining shows go on sale today, April 27th, at 1:00 p.m. EST.
“Cool Buzz” is Grohl’s latest offering from Be Sweet to Me, and it’s one of her most punk-forward moments yet. Rooted in an almost threatening guitar line, Grohl and her band move from double time to half time as she recounts her frustration with hypocritical men. “Shoot my favorite arrow/ Through a mind that’s narrow,” she sings in the chorus, which has a hefty dose of slacker sweetness. “Cool Buzz,” according to Grohl, is about “poking fun at moral inconsistencies in punk guys who preach progressive politics, but then in their own musical spaces won’t let women have a chance.” Stream the new track below.
