Producer Adrian Sherwood will release his first solo album in 13 years, “The Collapse Of Everything,” on August 22nd via On-U Sound Records. The title reflects both recent personal losses and current global concerns.

“Recently I lost two great friends, Mark Stewart and Keith LeBlanc,” Sherwood explains. “Mark had written a song, and part of a lyric was hidden in the song about ‘The Collapse Of Everything’. It seemed a very appropriate title, both summing up my feelings about losing Mark and Keith, and on another level, what’s going on in the world now both politically and environmentally.”

The album incorporates desert blues, dub, and ambient soundscapes, featuring collaborations with Doug Wimbish, Mark Bandola, Alex White, and Chris Joyce. As founder of On-U Sound, Sherwood has produced artists like African Head Charge and Tackhead, and worked with acts including Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and Blur. Recent productions include Lee “Scratch” Perry’s “Rainford” and Horace Andy’s “Midnight Rocker,” which was The Guardian’s #1 Global Album of 2022.

Sherwood will perform as a solo artist for the first time during his Japan tour in November, with dates in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. He plans a London debut in February 2026, followed by tours in North America, Australia, and Europe. “Doing it as a solo artist I get the choice to call every shot, and I’m not trying to please anyone else involved except myself,” he says.

Sherwood has also announce a ‘Dub Sessions 20th Anniversary’ tour of Japan later this year:

19th November @ EX Theater – Tokyo
20th November @ Club Quattro – Nagoya
21st November @ Gorilla Hall – Osaka
