Everything Is Recorded have shared new release ‘Solstice Equinox’.
The project is helmed by Richard Russell – founder of XL Recordings and a noted producer in his own right, the past five years have brought a slew of material.
Everything Is Recorded shared the full studio album ‘Temporary’ earlier this year, and in-between key album drops the project has been engaged with improvisatory music-making.
Over four days in 2023 and 2024, the project would gather at The Copper House, Russell’s West London studio. All action would take place on the Summer and Winter Solstices, and the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes, with a wide cast of guest musicians.

The line-up blends long-time friends and collaborators with new voices, including (deep breath!) Alabaster DePlume, Jah Wobble, Ibeyi, Samantha Morton, Laura Groves, Jack Peñate, Roses Gabor, Mary In The Junkyard, Georgia, Sampha, Florence Welch, Yazz Ahmed, CASISDEAD and more.
Out now, ‘Solstice Equinox’ gathers these recordings in one place, offering further edits in the process; the release features four groups of 10 tracks, a quartet of albums running at one hour forty minutes.
‘Solstice Equinox’ will be released digitally, and on limited edition vinyl. Each LP comes in a bespoke, screen-printed sleeve, hand-crafted at XL Recordings’ west London headquarters. They are available to buy right now via Everything Is Recorded’s Bandcamp and the XL Recordings store.
