The Mars Volta Look To Have Just Debuted Their As-Yet Unannounced New Album Live

Progressive rock outfit The Mars Volta treated fans to a live performance of a bevy of unreleased material during their set tonight, February 25th, at the Moda Center in Portland, OR. Roughly a month ago rumors of a new record from the group titled “Lucro sucio; Los ojos del vacio” began to circulate online via leaked product listings.
Judging by tonight’s performance, that new outing seemingly got performed in its entirety. Early leaks of that rumored ninth album indicated an April 11th release date, though the band themselves have yet to confirm those details.
According to fans in attendance tonight, the band ran through 18 as-yet unreleased tracks. Initial fan-filmed footage from the set has surfaced online below. The group’s just launched tour with Deftones & Fleshwater will continue on as follows:
