Talking Heads' 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense will be given a 4K restoration and theatrical re-release by A24.

While the restored version has yet to receive a release date, A24 has shared a teaser trailer you can view below, in which present-day David Byrne stops by the dry cleaners to pick up his trademark massive suit: "It's been here for a while."

Directed by Jonathan Demme, Stop Making Sense finds band members Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison joined onstage by a supporting group of players, including Parliament-Funkadelic keyboardist Bernie Worell, guitarist Alex Weir, percussionist Steve Scales and vocalists Lynn Mabry and Edna Holt.

Shot over three evenings at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre in December 1983, the film features performances of Talking Heads staples "Psycho Killer," "Once in a Lifetime," "Burning Down the House" and "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)."

Deadline notes that alongside the restored film, Rhino Records will deliver a new deluxe version of the double-platinum soundtrack digitally and on vinyl August 18, featuring the complete Stop Making Sense performance for the first time.

In spite of the exciting news, we shouldn't expect a Talking Heads reunion anytime soon, so here's hoping you caught Belew and Harrison's recent North American tour.

Talking Heads were recently covered by Mac DeMarco and Snail Mail, and also had their music end up among Exclaim! Staffers' Favourite Love Songs.
