It's one of the definitive Queen tracks with a typically multi-octave range building to a gloriously bombastic finish. No surprise, since it was written by legendary frontman Freddie Mercury. Somebody To Love was released in 1976, from the album A Day At The Races, alongside classic numbers like Tie Your Mother Down and Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy. SCROLL DOWN TO WATCH THE NEW VIDEO

The new video is taken from the band's triumphant 2016 headline performance at the Isle Of Wight Festival. It is part of the collection of live performances that have been collected for the new Live Around The World album and film.

The band's latest release debuted at Number on the UK charts on October 2.

Queen's drummer Roger Taylor has been singing Lambert's praises: "Adam has the ability to sing anything and everything we throw at him. There's nothing he can't handle. Our songs are big and theatrical and Adam fits that easily. I think he's the best singer around. His range is staggering."

Live Around The World includes the band's hand-picked highlights from over 200 live shows they have performed in the current line-up with Lambert as their frontman.

The American singer has spoken about the challenges and thrill of tackling some of Queen's most iconic songs.

He said: "Some of Queen's songs are just so vocally athletic and physically demanding.

"For example, The Show Must Go On is certainly demanding, Who Wants To Live Forever goes from zero to 99.

"Somebody To Love' is really intense and big."

Lambert added: "One thing as a vocalist which I love about Queen's catalogue is they've ventured into so many different genres. It makes every show a fun and challenging evening for me and I just love that."

Brian May and Roger Taylor actually performed Somebody To Love on American Idol in May 2011. Lambert was one of the finalists and history was made. He was runner-up on teh show but had impressed the Queen legends.

Invitations followed to perform with them at major shows n 2012 before an official world tour was announced for 2014.

Since then, every show and tour with the new line-up has become bigger and bolder.

The 2019 Rhapsody World Tour stormed across North America and then the Pan-Asian and Australasia leg had just completed in early 2020 when the global pandemic shut down live shows across the world.

Fans are hoping the rescheduled 2021 dates will finally bring their idols to the UK next summer.
