Highlight of our 4 weeks summer vacation in Finland was "The Tall Ships Races" in Helsinki - the whole harbour which is near the apartment of my parents in law was full of big and small sailing ships and around the ships there were some stages where local known artists have there appearance.
Jussi - my wife's brother and also a musician - told us to which of the artists we should go and he would accompany us.
So on the 19th there were two artists / bands worth to listen. It was almost in the evening when the first band to listen entered the stage. The band was called "Eternal Erection". I didn't know what to expect but after some seconds I knew it would be "funky funky". Grazy show with a lot of reference to the Godfather of the P-Funk (George Clinton) - "I see the mothership coming down ...". I liked it very much.
The headliner this day was the "Don Johnson Band" - well known in Finland and with international recognition. They are famous for their fast and funny rap music accompined with horns and a good show. All of our family was there and we liked it very much.
The next day at late afternoon there was only one artists I liked to see. He is called "Paleface" and could be described as the the finish version of KRS-One - so he made political rap also with megophone singing and sirences. It sounded authentic although I didn't understand a word.
