Already in February I ordered two tickets for Jethro Tull at the Tempodrom and I found wonderful seats for my wife and me in the upper part in front of the stage. Info: All tickets were for seats.
The show should start at 7pm so we arrived there 30 Min before. We ordered two beers and were going to our seats. Just before the show an offline voice gave us the info that Ian Anderson and the Band didn’t want the audience to make videos or pictures during the show until the encore. Okay!?
After this the show began immediately and the artists came on the stage - Ian Anderson at the end. He said ‘Hello’ and introduced the first song which was from their first record in 1968. It was a little bit blues-like and he was playing harmonica. At the big canvas were shown special pictures or videos for any song.
The show was divided in two one hour sets with a good mix of old well-known songs like Thick as a Brick, Songs From the Wood or Bourrée in E minor and from the last record Curious Ruminant the title song and Over Jerusalem, until the highlights Aqualung at the end of the second set and last but not least Locomotive Breath at the encore.
It all ended after two hours. Wonderful show with one weak point in my opinion: Ian Anderson can't sing high notes anymore. But he still could stand on one foot when he was playing flute.
